The dramatic play area is a fabulous place to share knowledge learned at home and in our communities. The children try roles that typically belong to the adults: teller, parent, person stocking shelves etc.

- When a teller was asked, "How much did my groceries cost today?" She replied, "Um, 40 minutes."
- When one of children, who is learning English as an addition language, selected a container of yogurt out of the fridge, she smiled and stated, "Ice cream!"
- One four year old teller stated each of the items purchased cost "four dollars." When the order was tallied the total cost was..."four dollars!"
- One girl, pretending to be mom, stated, "Sometimes I put things on top of the fridge when I put away groceries and it gets all melty!"
