WHAT A FABULOUS WAY TO SPEND AN AFTERNOON-LEARNING AND EXPLORING AND LAUGHING WITH JK FRIENDS!!
At the Telus World of Science we started by playing in the Discovery Room where the children could make balls travel down, up and all around! Here there was also a kid-sized airplane, building area, and a piano you could play by stepping on!! So fun!
After we explored the Body Fantastic and Garage rooms. There was so much to explore we had a difficult time stopping for a wee snack. At 2:00ish we participated in the Cold Factor program, activities that help children understand how animals adapt to the cold weather. Wow, what a great time! Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible.
Before leaving the children reflected on what they enjoyed about the field visit, and here's their answers:
A: The shadows
B: Shadows
D: Playing with the baby bear. He knocked over the wolf!
Ga: Shadow-it was like a monster
Gi: Doing the people
Li: The water
Ma: I loved the shadows
Mi: The airplane and making the fort
R: The water. I built a dam.
