This week we had many small wonderful moments that ended in an extraordinary field visit to a music room in the Fine Arts building where instructor, conductor, and mother, Angela, shared her love for music.
The morning class was introduced to a quintet of the instrucments used in the story Peter and the Wolf. Each instrument was introduced and a piece from Peter and the Wolf played. It was charming and delightful! This field visit ended in Angela and her son (whose Kindergarten class was also there) playing trumpets together-awesome!
The afternoon class did something different because Angela's university students were in class. Instead Angela taught our JK children how to use diffent types of drums and then they created a drum band! Wow, it left us all feeling giddy with excitement! Frieda and Angela, thanks for organizing these wonderful music experiences.
