September is a busy time at The Child Study Centre Junior Kindergarten (JK)! The children learn how to spend time with a group of new children and teachers. If they leave school energized and excited, then celebrate! However, if they leave school tired and emotional, empathize. Every day of school has marvelous moments, however, there are also times that seem like hard work. As time passes learning together will become easier and increasingly enjoyable for all.
This week at the JK we became more aware of our Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday routines. On Monday/Wednesday we end our class by playing outdoors in the courtyard and on Tuesday/Thursday Frieda leads a 30-minute music class. Our visual calendar shows us what we have planned for the day. Thank you in advance for taking the time at the beginning of each class to review the visual calendar with your child.
This week, we also revisited the story "The Kissing Hand" and made a kissing hand craft to bring home. The morning class painted their hands and the afternoon class traced and colored with felts. The craft reminds us that we carry the love of our family members with us at all times, even when we are apart!
