After reading Eric Carle's The Very Hungary Caterpillar several times, the children in the morning class reviewed the book. Here are their comments:

Nixon, Alexander, and Dalton: I liked when the caterpillar ate all the party food!
Eden: I did not like it when the the caterpillar ate all the party food! I liked it when it ate healthy food.

After enjoying Eric Carle's The Very Busy Spider, and using a collection of stuffed animals to represent the story's characters, the children reviewed the storybook. Here are their comments:
Arwen: I like that the kitty comes after the dog. The kitty is not worried about the dog!
Gavin: I don't like the spider because it has lots of legs!
Maia: A piggy can't ask a spider to roll in the mud because a spider can't roll in the mud, only be on a web!
Ginny: I liked the cat. My mom also likes cats, her has a dress with cats. Like on that photo (she point to the pet inquiry documentation posted on the bulletin board).
Duncan: I like the horse. It likes to run and gallop, and so do I!
Baylee: I like the kitty!
Ryden: The horse. I like galloping and running too!
Liisa: The spider IS very busy.
Milan: I like the spider, and how it spins its web at time.
Mohsin: I like the spider web. I liked (Mohsin draws in the air with his finger)...the design.
Alicia: The dog says, "Do you want to catch a pussy?" I would say, "NO!"
Fandui: I like the cat.
Sophia: Picks up a cat stuffie. She has little english language, so her actions help her join the conversation.
Ann: I like the special ink Eric Carle used for the web, so the web can be felt on top of the pages.
