Look who visited the morning class on Wednesday! Together they demonstrated how a veterinarian checks an animal's: eyes, nose, teeth, throat, heart and lungs. The check up seemed very similar to what we all experience at the doctor's office. Thanks for the visit! One more thing...this dad has given a snake a needle!! WOW! That is impressive!
| Look who visited the afternoon class on Wednesday! Together they told us how they take care of the cows and bulls on their farm. They explained the cows eat hay, love oats for a treat, and sleep on straw. A story was told of a calf born and then left in the cold because the mother was scared of the other female cows interested the new baby. Our young friend showed how she snuggled the calf to comfort it and keep it warm. Thanks for visit. The photos were fabulous! |
Author of "Wrong Way, Gimli!" read her book to the children in the afternoon program. In the book we learn how the geese supported each other to overcome personal challenges, while benefiting as a group by sharing their strengths. Thanks for giving each of us a copy of "Wrong Way, Gimli!' What a treasure!!
| Together we are working as a team to create something special in our dramatic play area. Six children from the morning program drew a Paw Patrol Lookout by tracing an image projected on the wall. |
The rest of the children in the morning class taped together box towers that will part of our animal neighbourhood. We will also use these box towers in our mapping project!
| The children in the afternoon class looked at many Beanie Baby dogs and selected those that best looked like the original Paw Patrol pups. Using the iPad we researched identification tags, and created a colar and tag for each pup. If our Paw Patrol pups don't look just like the cartoon-"NO BIG DEAL!" We know we can use our imaginations! |
